Sure! When it comes to guitars, definitely work from the bottom up. You won’t be able to fully notice and appreciate the quality of the sound and the guitar itself if you start right off the bat with a $1,000 one. My first, playing it now, honestly sucks, but back then I thought it sounded great. Good starting brands to my knowledge are Ibanez, Fender, and Epiphone. I’ve had an Ibanez and Epiphone in the past, and there’s a bunch of different types so you’ll definitely find one you like. But, rule of thumb- sound matters more than looks. It could be a pretty guitar but sounds like you’re playing in a trash can. As you progress, brands like Taylor’s, Gibson’s, Martins, Takamine, etc are some of the most well-known. I prefer Taylor’s over anything, but that’s just me. If possible, try to avoid ones with a glossy coating on the front (which is harder to find with cheaper guitars to begin with) but it just enhances the sound quality when the wood isn’t coated. And, of course, make sure the model is comfortable! If your arm is literally straining over the body, it’s not for you, and you’ll almost never get accustomed to the shape. Plus of course, make sure the size is equipped for you. If you need to know anything else, just let me know. Sorry this was so long, haha. Best of luck!
